Spotlight: 9yo who has won just one of his 23 starts and was beaten 4l when third of six at Nottingham last Friday; however, he was suited by the big-field scenario when a close third in this last year and runs off a 3lb lower mark this afternoon; could be in the mix.

Spotlight: Lightly raced 4yo who won a maiden for Paddy Twomey at Navan (5f, yielding) last May; not beaten far when mid-division on recent stable and seasonal debut over C&D (good to firm) and could build on that run today.

Spotlight: He's failed to threaten here on his last two starts and now goes without his usual tongue-tie (as well as the visor adopted last time); however, he has plenty of good form off higher marks over this C&D, and it would be in his favour if he's back on slow ground; can't be written off.

Spotlight: Has taken a step forward in this tongue-tie on his last two starts, winning by 3l at Haydock (5f, good) before very close second at Doncaster when unpenalised (5.5f, good; looked set to win but rider reported he hung left-handed and required correction); also effective on slow ground; 6lb higher mark has now kicked in but this in-form 5yo is firmly in calculations.

Spotlight: Three-time winner (all last year at 7f) who went close at Doncaster (6f, good) last month; however, down the field there on both runs since (6f/7f, good to firm/good) and this is a rare attempt at 5f.

Spotlight: Well handicapped on last year's C&D form for Karl Burke but refused to race in April on final outing for that yard and down the field over C&D on recent stable debut, when again awkward at the start; risks attached.

Spotlight: Won at Thirsk (good to firm) last month on first crack at 5f; better could have been expected at Haydock since, even allowing for the return to 6f, but he remains well treated on last year's best form and is unexposed at this trip; one of three for trainer with fine record in race; a possible.

Spotlight: Two wins in May (5f, good/good to firm) and has continued in good heart, beaten just over 2l when eighth of 16 over C&D (good to firm) a fortnight ago; however, he needs something extra today.

Spotlight: Won this in 2022 under Jonathan England (well beaten 12 months ago); won at Catterick (5f, good to firm) in April and has continued in good form, posting a close third at Ripon (5f, good) last time; versatile ground-wise; could be involved.

Spotlight: 8yo who has struggled on his four starts this season, for a new yard; however, he's down to a dangerous mark and has an excellent record in this race, having won it in 2021 and 2023 and finished runner-up last year; interesting to see how he goes in the betting.

Spotlight: Inconsistent this year but returned to form off this career-low mark when dropped back in trip and second at Haydock (5f, good) last Saturday; has run well on various ground over the years; not ruled out.

Spotlight: Knocking on the door prior to winning at Pontefract (5f, good to firm), and solid third there (5f, good) since; one of three for yard with good record in race; each-way shout if conditions suit (unproven on slow ground).

Spotlight: Fourth in this in 2023 (good) under David Bass and kicked off this campaign with three good runs in defeat; however, this 11yo has been soundly beaten on his last two outings and needs to get back on track.

Spotlight: Fair fifth at Musselburgh in May on second stable start and his mark has fallen since, but he's struggled to get competitive on his last three starts and this 9yo has won only two of his 43 races.
